This course enables students to identify expressive means and stylistic devices and analyze their use in a variety of texts in different styles. On course completion students will be able to understand the terminology and other concepts related to Stylistics, differentiate between specific functional styles, use stylistic tools to analyse texts, relate linguistic analysis to professional tasks.
